Master of Science in Cybersecurity at the University of Advancing Technology (UAT) – 2023

Cyberspace and its underlying infrastructure can be threatened by a wide range of risks, including physical threats and cyber hazards.

Governments and sophisticated cyber actors exploit computer vulnerabilities to steal sensitive information, steal money, and disrupt, destroy, or threaten the delivery of essential services.

Several factors make cyberspace particularly difficult to secure, including the ability of malicious actors to operate anywhere and the link between cyberspace and physical systems.

Another factor is the difficulty of reducing vulnerabilities and repercussions within complex cyber networks. We are increasingly concerned about threats from cyberspace against critical infrastructure.

Threatening critical infrastructure with such intrusions poses new risks as attacks against sophisticated cyber defenses have become increasingly sophisticated.

A rise in the integration of technical infrastructure with physical infrastructure means that events that pose wide-ranging effects or have high consequences pose an increased risk of negatively impacting millions of Americans’ lives or disrupting our economy.

Cybersecurity and resilience have become important homeland security missions because of the potential severity of cyber events and the potential for damage they can cause.

Why choose the University of Advancing Technology?

University of Advancing Technology (UAT) has established a bridge to graduate technology education that allows students to complete their graduate degree program.

The certification program and the top technology master’s degree can give working technology professionals the new knowledge, skills, and respect they need to advance professionally.

Graduate students’ paths to completion are empowered through UAT’s Master of Science programs, all of which are designed to remove barriers and mobilize students.

Lastly, there are master’s degrees aimed at helping you succeed at the speed of technology. UAT has now made top credentials accessible.

The academic environment of our degree programs combines intellectual stimulation with an innovative culture where multidisciplinary minds can thrive and benefit from innovations necessary to achieve every student’s educational goals.

Candidate for a Master of Science program develops critical-thinking skills to extend knowledge into new, original areas of inquiry.

Benefits of the program

  • We at the University of Advancing Technology offer a wide variety of options to meet your needs.
  • The goal is to combine or acquire skills so that a degree can be earned
  • Innovation as the course outcome – not a thesis
  • A graduate program should involve real-life projects. This includes:
  • Live simulation
  • Apply current work experience to class assignments
  • Community and tech projects

Certificates:

The modules can be taken solely as a certificate or together with additional modules to allow each student the opportunity to develop the degree option which best suits their interests and goals.

Combining any four modules or selecting electives allows you to create an educational program that fits your career goals and needs.

Fees Guarantee:

At the University of Advancing Technology, we pride ourselves in providing our students and families with a tuition lock guarantee to ensure the annual cost of tuition will remain the same between the first year a student enrolls at UAT and the student’s senior year.

Having annual tuition increases can be a challenge for students and families. Technology students have enough of a problem becoming leaders in their field without being concerned about their actual financial obligations from year to year.

A UAT student choosing to enroll and commit to UAT will be given a tuition guarantee courtesy from the University. Costs cannot be guaranteed for all services.

Residential students’ college costs are dominated by tuition, which makes up approximately 80% of the total. Students at UAT will be charged the same fees every semester.

Accommodations and meals make up the bulk of the remaining costs. The cost of tuition may change throughout the student’s time on campus.

Entry Requirement:

  • No matter what undergraduate preparation there is, any student seeking admission to this program needs to be exposed to its core areas. A candidate without requisite academic background but meeting minimum program requirements may be considered on a contingency basis and required to take a series of prerequisite courses.
  • Applicants must have earned (or will earn soon) a baccalaureate degree from a university or college regionally accredited or recognized University abroad to be eligible for the program.
  • An overall undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is widely accepted as a requirement to be accepted into the program.
  • To be eligible, applicants whose native language is not English must take the TOEFL or IELTS and attain a score of 80 or higher on the TOEFL or 6.5 on the IELTS. GRE scores are not required.

Conclusion

An online degree that offers coursework in cybersecurity prepares you to handle the safeguarding of confidential information from organizations of all kinds.

Being aware of what is occurring in the current cyber scenario will help you prepare for the future in the current cyber environment. In addition to providing you with useful information, it can also aid you in constructing your security system.
