The cybersecurity master’s program at Valparaiso University is a 36-credit program. Students can earn their degree online, on campus, or through an online and campus program that prepares them with cybersecurity and cyber operations skills.

Application Process
- Applicants for admission must also have taken a statistics course at a college or university and have the equivalent of a minor in computer science, information technology, or a related field (such as engineering or information and decision sciences).
- Students without adequate preparation or background may have to complete a one-semester bridge program before beginning the M.S.
- Students are eligible to be admitted to any semester, but those who begin their coursework in the fall semester will have the greatest benefit.
- The deadline for accepting applications will depend on the number of seats available each semester.
- This course requires IT 502, IT 535, MATH 220, and STAT 240 as prerequisites.
A Schedule For Coursework
Before the start of the semester, students must take a programming test. Students who fail the programming test are required to take IT 502 during their first semester of enrollment.
Credits for these courses do not apply toward a cybersecurity degree. Students should have completed at least one semester of study before taking the Capstone Experience.
