For scientific and engineering candidates whose first language is not English, a TOEFL score of 84 is required, preferably with no subscores below 20.

Suppose an applicant has completed two years of full-time university-level study in a nation where English has been the official language in the recent five years. In that case, they may seek an English proficiency waiver.
